How to Do Your Own Makeup - Premium App Reviews

Let me first say that the included videos are fantastic. Herein lies the problem: the videos are excellent and informative. You watch one, and you want to see more because they teach you well. However, if you are looking for a video on a particular subject, lets say a smoky eye, you have to scroll through 400, yes ladies, FOUR HUNDRED, video thumbnails to find the video you want to watch. There is absolutely NO SEARCH FUNCTION, and not even any type of organization in the video list that I can see other than by contributor. They are scattered all over the place. They are not grouped in any way. They should be grouped by eyes, lips, hair, face, special occasions, etc. there should also be a search function to assist you in finding a new or previously viewed video with key words. There could also be a favorites button so you could have a list of your favorite videos to review when you want. The way it is, its like looking for a needle in a haystack. These characteristics render the app useless to me, as I simply dont have the time to scan through hundreds of videos every time I use the app. Oh, and also, if the app is minimized when you pause mid-video, dont think you can just bring the app back to front and resume your video. Nope. You will have to scan that list of 400 videos ALL OVER AGAIN to find the video you were watching. This app was clearly not ready for release, especially in its paid form, which I am reviewing. Dont waste your money on this unless you also have a lot of time to waste. If the developers cared to make this app useable at some point, I will gladly give it 5 stars and rave reviews. Until then, this app is simply AWFUL.

I am a person who only knows how to put mascara,blush and lipstick on. Wanted to learn how to put makeup on the right way. The woman in the videos really makes it easy to learn. Video on how to make your eyes look bigger, how to put false eye lashes on and more. As she is showing you,she gives the brand of makeup and brushes she uses. Went out to Sephora store to get the same brands so I can have the same look. Really helpful tips!!

I love not only the instructions, but the reasons for doing certain things. I love that she goes from skin care to making your eyes look better to Halloween to glorious to simple. LOVE!

I like the app. I havent had any problems with it and the tutorials make it very easy to take your current skills up a notch.

I really like this makeup app. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because you can not save or add certain videos as a favorite to keep track since there are so many videos to scroll through. Other than that this was worth $.99. I like who is making the videos too. She is very detailed but doesnt take too long and she is not annoying like other makeup tutorials!

I love this app! Its amazing to be able to look up advice with one click. I would have given it 5 stars but my only problem is that it doesnt have a search bar. Instead I have to scroll through dozens of videos that dont relate to what I want. Other than that I love this app and definitely recommend it!

but there is no audio when I play the tutorials. How can that issue be rectified?

Could use more diversity but its worth the $1
